The holiday season is a time for connection, kindness, and community β and Miami Public Library invites you to help spread joy to local elders with a heartfelt card!
We're collecting handmade holiday cards to share with residents in local care centers. Whether you're young or young at heart, come by the library to use our craft supplies β or bring your own creations from home!
π How to Participate:
Create cheerful holiday cards with messages of love and encouragement
Drop them off at the library anytime from Nov. 1 through Dec. 20
Use our supplies at the library or bring your own handmade cards
β¨ Letβs show our elders that theyβre remembered, loved, and appreciated this season.
One card can make a difference β and together, we can deliver hundreds of smiles.

Only 1 person per family permitted inside during registration.
This program is designed for low-income families in Craig County to help ensure every child has a joyful Christmas. We are partnering with Cops for Kids, DHS, Cherokee Nation Angel Tree, GLCM Blue House, ITUS Virtus Motorcycle Club, Grand Mental Health, and area schools to serve each child once across all programs.
π Income Guidelines (based on household size):
Eligible families must meet the listed income requirements (see chart above).
π Required Documentation:
Valid photo ID (parent or legal guardian)
Proof of address (utility bill or rental agreement)
Proof of custody/guardianship (if applicable)
Social Security cards (for parents/guardians & children)
Birth certificates (for each child)
Proof of income (examples include):
Last yearβs taxes
Disability determination letters
30 days of pay stubs
Food stamp approval letter

Join the Brush and Palette Art Gallery for a cozy fall-inspired acrylic painting class, led by local artist Karen Clary! Youβll paint a charming autumn lantern scene, complete with pumpkins, sunflowers, and a warm candle glow β no experience necessary!
